“Birds of Paradise” is a gated complex of 62 units, with a full time manager, maintenance staff, & 24 hr front gate staff.
Common facilities include solar heated pool, Jacuzzi, party room, laundry, fitness room, parking for 1 car. Social activities are a major component of life at Birds. The “Birds Nest” bar, is open in the afternoons to serve guests around the pool.
Located on the Chapala bypass, in the village of San Antonio Tlayacapan, adjacent to Ajijic, on the north shore of Lake Chapala. The area is separated from Guadalajara, (about 40 km to the north), by a a range of mountains. The airport is located on the south side of Guadalajara, about a half hour drive away.
Location: The Lake Chapala area is extremely popular with American & Canadian visitors. At 5,000 ft altitude, the climate is ideal. Air conditioning or heating is not required. The lake, (Mexico’s largest), is ringed by mountains providing ample opportunity for hiking and sight seeing.
